DONATED ARTWORK

"CHRIST HEALING THE SICK"
-painting donated to our church-
Artist: Catherine Stockwell
Donated by: Mrs Louise Carter of Grand Island

This 1975 Painting, by Mr. Brandon Wald,
was donated as part of his legacy.

Mr. Wald was also an architect,
a member of the Mount Dora Art League
& his artwork was exhibited at many art showcases.

THEN

&

NOW

In January 1999, there appeared above the altar in the chancel area, the Cross of Redemption – a lighted stained-glass cross combining the symbols of the crown (God’s authority and rule) and the lilies (rebirth) in a traditional matrix.

The cross was given to the church by the Riehm family in memory of Linda Riehm’s husband, Joseph Riehm, and their daughter, Janice.

The beauty and meaning of this gift will forever grace the life of this church, lifting the hearts of its Ohana and all whom God may direct within.

The stained glass was executed by Old South Stained Glass of Eustis.  Gene Lukensmeyer built and Norm Karr stained the wooden frame.  Walter Anderson provided the gift of lighting.  The committee responsible for this project included Ruby Karr, Mary Dean, John Bygrave, Pam Riehm, Linda Riehm and Nancylea Ward.
